Ice Water Hash

Ice water hash

Ice water hash, also known as bubble hash, is a type of cannabis concentrate made using a cold water extraction method. This process involves using ice and water to separate the trichomes (the resinous glands containing cannabinoids and terpenes) from the plant material.

Here’s a basic overview of how it’s made:

Materials Needed:

– Ice
– Water
– Cannabis plant material (buds or trim)
– Bubble bags (mesh bags with different micron sizes)
– A bucket
– A stirring tool (like a wooden spoon)
– A flat surface for drying

Process:

1. Preparation: Start by breaking up the cannabis into smaller pieces. Place it in a bucket along with ice and cold water.

2. Agitation: Stir the mixture gently for about 10-15 minutes. The cold temperature makes the trichomes brittle, causing them to break off from the plant material.

3. Filtration: Pour the mixture through a series of bubble bags, which have different micron sizes. The larger particles will be filtered out first, allowing the smaller trichomes to pass through.

4. Collection: After filtering, you’ll have different grades of hash collected in each bag. The finest quality will be in the smallest micron bag.

5. Drying: Collect the hash from each bag and spread it out on a flat surface or parchment paper to dry completely. This is crucial to prevent mold.

6. Storage: Once dry, store the hash in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.

Benefits:

Purity: Ice water hash is known for being a clean concentrate since it doesn’t involve solvents.
Flavor: It retains more of the plant’s original terpenes, leading to a more flavorful product.

Uses:

Ice water hash can be consumed on its own, added to joints, or used in various edibles and other cannabis products.

Always remember to use cannabis responsibly and in accordance with local laws and regulations!
